Delicious Autumn - Poetry

Leaves fall to my feet
hues of red all swirl downward
lit by the large
moon
=
Breathe the cool crisp air
crunch the knoll of earths
color
rake in the new season

No sign of Fall here in California so I manipulated
one of my photographs of our back yard grape plant.

I Would Never Write ...

^^Written For Sunday Scribblings^^
http://sundayscribblings.blogspot.com/

Sometimes writers find themselves writing what comes easily for them. If we are good at or believe in something we can write tomes. If we are bad at something or we find it difficult we don't bother. The assignment is to write something that you never thought you would write. Push your boundaries. Test the waters. If you find it easy to write, you haven't pushed hard enough.

TOP NEWS FOR SUNDAY SEPTEMBER 10th, YEAR 2028

* The United Country of California officials are in an uproar today.
Governmental police take action against the transportation of illegals on Airpeds. The investigation will prove that missionaries were flying the illegals out of Washington on the model F.A.S.T Airpeds that were illegally super charged with preparation H (once used for anal retentive disorders and now banned). The GP (Governmental Police) were not able to keep up with the super charged Airpeds so they flew in under them and shot them down with light beams. The uproar stems from the impending court action against the GP for using light beams before ozone rebuilding season. It is rumored that one of the illegals shot down may have been the clone of Roberto Bush, grandson to George W Bush and the cousin of Maria B Gopaz, President of Texas and Mexico.

* Tech and health news brings the crowds by the thousands to local drug outlets. Health officials assure us we should not panic; they have enough chips to meet demands. Please take your time and bring your DNA samples when going for you updated communication chips. The new model is much safer. The size of a grain of rice and the fact that it doesn’t penetrate the tissues as far as the older models is making it very popular.

The newest break through in medicine is an oxygen capsule. They hope that it will replace the time we spend at local Air Depots replenishing our supplies for the day. The end of the Raging Red Air Term is when the capsule is slated to be released.

* Comedian Ricky Tall was seen at a local weapons shop this past week. When asked what he was carrying these days his smug retort to the LA Times Roving Robotic Reporter was “None of your freakinoning business you piece of electropositive mars shit”!

Apparently the crowd that had gathered thought what had transpired between man and machine humorous and threw street debris at them. Unfortunately for Ricky Tall old discarded money in the form of coins was the favored choice to fling. Self-healing cream was handed to Tall by a by-stander.

* Please set your alarms for 3 am if you hope to catch the moon in it’s splitting phase. Chunks the size of dinner plates were found after the last splitting phase way back in 2012 …

I would never write anything humorous. I’ve always been serious in my writings and I’m thought of as a “deep thinker” ..
I do have a sense of humor and even though this was hard to write I did succumb and found the fun in it ..

FATE

What if you missed your fate?

Imagine:You have a memory of long ago when your eyes met with someone across the room in a busy cafĂ©, that person seemed to look into your depths, was that a memory of a life that didn’t happen?Should you have acted upon that look? Would your life be like someone else’s if you had made choices in your past that were different? What if we didn’t pass up every single turn in the road, what if we didn’t pass up every new opportunity, what if we didn’t look away when we got “that look … what if we hadn’t missed that appointment, or took that job, or didn’t take the freeway … What if?

After seeing the movie “Changing Lanes”, you really look at life somewhat differently.Just a matter of five minutes can change your whole life, the path you were going and where you will end up. Or, it could just throw your life off of it’s axle for a day, a week or a year and then get back on track. Like a diversion of sorts?Or, it could go in reverse, totally spinning out of control.

Fate is your destiny. Can we change it or can we miss it completely?
If you think about it too much you can feel powerless.
It’s like coming out of the cold and feeling the chill leave your limbs, you can feel all of what “was” vaporizing …

Memories of a life that could have been, gone, vaporized because you missed your fate.
Do we control our destiny or not? Is fate a misconception for those out of control of their own destiny?

I will try not to be out of control, strong enough to stand up to my fate …

Here's a sigh to those who love me,
And a smile to those who hate;
And whatever sky's above me,
Here's a heart for every fate. Author: Lord Byron (George Gordon Noel Byron)
